Inspired by a project realized within the walls of Dozza’s prison in Bologna (IT), REM aims to prevent violent radicalization and to promote democratic values and fundamental rights. To do so the consortium has created a set of training modules for migrants that can facilitate dialogue and self-reflection about rights, duties and cultural differences.
Every partner planned and realized in his country the training modules, in different social contexts and with different target groups: high school students, inmates and former inmates, migrants attending language courses to obtain residence permit or courses to obtain a school diploma, unaccompanied foreign minors and asylum applicants.
206 persons, coming from 42 countries of the world, attended the pilot trainings aimed at citizenship education.
After the training for migrants, it has been organized the training of trainers that involved 131 professional, students and volunteers, working in fields related to migration and interested in realizing the training in their organizations.
